Blog

4/14/11: There's a continuous loop of Debbie Friedman's (z"l") Hal'luyah (Ps. 150) running through my head while I update this website. There are so many inspiring settings. Psalm 150 is, hands down, my favorite psalm. Where else in the Tanakh (Jewish Bible) is there such an exhaustive list of the musical instruments that existed in biblical times? I like the idea that they might have all been played during rituals at the Temple in ancient Jerusalem. And the best line of all--"Kol haneshamah t'hallel Yah!" ("Let every living thing that breathes praise G-d").

11/10/11 Okay, so it's been quite a while since I've updated my blog. Just added a few recordings today. I'm particularly grateful to Meir Finkelstein for graciously giving permission to use his "L'Dor Vador." Several of his prayer settings are favorites in my repertoire. Feel free to contact me with any feedback.
